Evaluation Of Portfolio Module
My portfolio serves two purposes for me, primarily its is a collection of my work for myself, a record of achievement and personal growth as an artist. Secondly, I will use it to support an application onto an MA course.
I chose to print books and a dvd rather than prints, because my work is of such a personal nature that I preferred the viewing intimacy that a book provides. Although I was financially restricted to a certain degree, I dont feel I would have changed anything about the presentation. Especially that of the DVD case. I am extremely happy with this and feel it compliments the subject matter entirely.
In terms of my website (www.vickihaines.co.uk), I am happy with the layout and theme, but now I understand myself a bit better, I feel I need to make more photographic work to replace some of the content thats there currently. I think I have only matured as an artist (as opposed to a commercial photographer) in the last 18 months and so my website is an empty vessel waiting for more and more relevant content as I continue to explore my taboos!
Overall I am very satisfied with my journey thus far and feel my portfolio and web presence is indicative of my progress as it stands.
